Jamie Stanley and Christian Dick managed to extend their championship lead in the Avon Tyres British G4 Championship as the championship reached the halfway point at Rockingham despite suffering their worst weekend so far.
With the early season success giving the duo a healthy lead in the championship Rockingham was always going to be a difficulty weekend carrying 95 KG of success Ballast.

In qualifying both Stanley and dick delivered times with the pair lining up 2nd and 4th respectively. In race one Stanley had a long fight with the the KTM of Laddas and once dick took over steadily slipped back into the clutches of Nathan Freke. Dick would eventually cross the line in 4th after putting up a great fight with Freke.

In Race two while chasing down the G50 of Smed Stanley was tagged by the faster Mosler of fisken the spin costing Stanley time and at the flag he would finish just 6 seconds behind third placed Smed. “it was always going to be difficult at Rockingham carrying so much weight but we have still extended our lead and we now look forward to Silverstone” Said Stanley

Speedworks Motorsport  will be back in action on august 15th where they hope to return to their winning ways.
