Jamie Stanley and team mate Christian Dick took there GT4 Ginetta to a double victory at the Scottish track to take the lead of the British G4 Championship. ![]() The team arrived at the circuit Joint Leaders of the G4 Championship with the KTM crossbow of Rory butcher and Benjamin Harvey. With only two hours free practice before the curtail qualifying session track time was all important to the team but a slight mistake from Stanley in the second session cost the team valuable time. Following minor repairs to the front bumper the team went into qualifying and recovered to take pole position for race one and third for race two. Race one was a lights to Flag Victory for Stanley and Dick but race two would be much harder. Dick started and was nestled in second place behind the G4 Leader of Nathan Freke. With the tight circuit suiting the much more nimble Lotus 211 of Simon Mason Dick Sercombe to the 211 and at the pit stop handed over to Stanley who rejoined in third place. Before passing the lead Ginetta now being piloted by Vibe Smed. With Chris Bilan now at the wheel of the 211 and putting Stanley under pressure the lotus eventually found away by on the start finish straight demoting Stanley to 2nd. All hope of victory seemed lost but a car in the gravel brought out the safety car and at the restart Stanley git the jump on the 211 and was through into the first corner sadly the 211 was then collected by the faster GT3 Viper of Craig Wilkins and that left Stanley pressure free to secure Speedworks Second win of the weekend and there third victory from four starts. “its been a great start to the season for us we now have a healthy lead in the Championship heading to Spa id like to thank Speedworks for all there hard work this weekend and to Fox for there continued support” Said Stanley The team Will now head to the legendary Spa Francorchamps on June 5th where the team will be hoping to extend their lead further and take their fourth victory of the season.
