Just one week after taking the number 8 Foxint.com elise to a double win at Spa the whole field arrived at Silverstone with one notable extra. BBC F1’s anchor man Jake Humprey. Stanley had been enlisted to coach him in his first race during a pre race track day and previous days test day. With all the attention on Jake and this taking uo most of Stanley’s time he was unusually stressed out just before qualifying but as always once in the car simply knuckled down and got on with the business of Qualifying. With the wet track Stanley put his circuit knowledge to good use and took yet another commanding pole position by 1.2 seconds from the 211 of Mark Fullverlove. With the first race of the day a production only race Stanley could again focus his attention on Jake Humphrey and for the race Stanley would be talking to his protégée via the pit to car radio sadly for Humphrey the race didn’t quite go to plan and following contact with another car left Jake fighting over last place with the BBC anchor man still taking the flag a real feet where many a lesser driver would of given up. By the time race two came along the fuss had all died down and Stanley would line up on pole position with his pupil looking on Stanley would be determined to show him how it should be done. He didn’t disappoint with a textbook start and lead the field into copse for the first time and immediately began to pull away from the chasing pack. Stanley lost time through the backmarkers but was still comfortable in the lead once when the chequered flag fell this would be Stanley’s 10th career win.
Race two would again see Stanley start from pole position and this time with all the days other activities now behind him Stanley simply got on with the job and took an immediate lead and was never challenged with relentless pace Stanley eventually took the chequered flag 17 seconds clear of 2nd place Mark Fullerlove and third placed Chris Headlam. "Its been a really busy day but I’m thrilled wit the result for me and Fox international this marks our tenth victory this season and I’m so grateful for there support this season” Said Stanley after race two.
